V\u0161etko za\u010d\u00edna pri mene Edward Jenner. Tento anglick\u00fd lek\u00e1r si v\u0161imol, \u017ee \u013eudia (hlavne doji\u010dky kr\u00e1v), ktor\u00ed ochoreli na kravsk\u00e9 kiahne, boli im\u00fanni na infekciu prav\u00fdch kiahn\u00ed. Na z\u00e1klade t\u00fdchto poznatkov sa v roku 1796 rozhodol vykona\u0165 experiment, v ktorom odobral vzorku od \u017eeny infikovanej kravsk\u00fdmi kiah\u0148ami a n\u00e1sledne ju aplikoval do tela osemro\u010dn\u00e9ho chlapca. U chlapca, infikovan\u00e9ho kravsk\u00fdmi kiah\u0148ami, pozoroval iba mierne pr\u00edznaky ochorenia &#8211; slab\u00fa hor\u00fa\u010dku, vyr\u00e1\u017eky v&nbsp;oblasti podpazu\u0161ia a stratu chuti do jedla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dva mesiace po vylie\u010den\u00ed cielene infikoval toho ist\u00e9ho chlapca v\u00edrusom prav\u00fdch kiahn\u00ed, ktor\u00e9 v t\u00fdch \u010dasoch predstavovali ochorenie s vysokou mierou mortality (smrtnosti). Ochorenie prav\u00fdch kiahn\u00ed sa u chlapca neprejavilo. Nesk\u00f4r vykonal e\u0161te dvan\u00e1s\u0165 podobn\u00fdch pokusov a publikoval v\u00fdznamn\u00fa vedeck\u00fa pr\u00e1cu s n\u00e1zvom \u201cInquiry into the causes and effects of the variolae vaccine\u201c (\u201dSk\u00famanie pr\u00ed\u010din a d\u00f4sledkov vakc\u00edny proti variol\u00e1m\u201d).&nbsp;<strong>Edward Jenner je do dne\u0161n\u00e9ho d\u0148a pova\u017eovan\u00fd za objavite\u013ea a&nbsp;priekopn\u00edka modern\u00e9ho o\u010dkovania.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pojem vakcin\u00e1cia (odvoden\u00e9 od slova vacca \u2013 krava) v\u0161ak zaviedol a\u017e v roku 1800 chirurg Richard Dunning. Objav my\u0161lienky o\u010dkovania spustil revol\u00faciu v prevencii infek\u010dn\u00fdch ochoren\u00ed. Vo v\u00fdvoji nov\u00fdch vakc\u00edn pokra\u010doval aj franc\u00fazsky lek\u00e1r a chemik Louis Pasteur, ktor\u00fd ako prv\u00fd zrete\u013ene objasnil mechanizmus oslabenia (atenu\u00e1cie) v\u00edrusu. V\u00fdsledkom bola pr\u00edprava vakc\u00edny proti v\u00edrusu besnoty (rabies). Rovnakou technikou pripravili Albert Calmette a Camille Gu\u00e9rin v roku 1927 vakc\u00ednu proti tuberkul\u00f3ze. Medzi popredn\u00e9 osobnosti v oblasti o\u010dkovania patr\u00ed nepochybne aj americk\u00fd mikrobiol\u00f3g Maurice Hilleman, ktor\u00fd vyna\u0161iel viac ako 40 vakc\u00edn \u2013 z nich najzn\u00e1mej\u0161ie s\u00fa vakc\u00edny proti os\u00fdpkam, mumpsu, hepatit\u00edde A, hepatit\u00edde B, meningit\u00edde, ako aj proti bakt\u00e9rii Haemophilus influenzae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Imunita a vakcin\u00e1cia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Imunita je schopnos\u0165 \u013eudsk\u00e9ho tela rozl\u00ed\u0161i\u0165 prirodzen\u00e9 zlo\u017eky \u013eudsk\u00e9ho organizmu od t\u00fdch, ktor\u00e9 sa be\u017ene v tele nenach\u00e1dzaj\u00fa. T\u00e1to schopnos\u0165 poskytuje ochranu pred infek\u010dn\u00fdmi chorobami t\u00fdm, \u017ee organizmus identifikuje v\u00e4\u010d\u0161inu patog\u00e9nov (napr. bakt\u00e9ri\u00ed alebo v\u00edrusov) v tele ako cudz\u00edch naru\u0161ite\u013eov. Po rozpoznan\u00ed t\u00fdchto naru\u0161ite\u013eov sa organizmus sna\u017e\u00ed patog\u00e9ny \u010do najsk\u00f4r zni\u010di\u0165 a&nbsp;zabezpe\u010di\u0165 tak stabilitu svojho vn\u00fatorn\u00e9ho prostredia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imunita sa vo v\u0161eobecnosti rozde\u013euje na akt\u00edvnu a pas\u00edvnu. Pas\u00edvnu imunitu je mo\u017en\u00e9 navodi\u0165 prenosom protil\u00e1tok z jedn\u00e9ho \u013eudsk\u00e9ho organizmu do druh\u00e9ho. Tento typ imunity n\u00e1s chr\u00e1ni len do\u010dasne, vzh\u013eadom na to, \u017ee protil\u00e1tky sa \u010dasom degraduj\u00fa.&nbsp;<strong>Protil\u00e1tky s\u00fa bielkoviny imunitn\u00e9ho syst\u00e9mu, ktor\u00e9 cirkuluj\u00fa v krvi a v pr\u00edpade op\u00e4tovn\u00e9ho stretnutia s patog\u00e9nom s\u00fa okam\u017eite pripraven\u00e9 ho zni\u010di\u0165.<\/strong>&nbsp;Naj\u010dastej\u0161ou formou pas\u00edvnej imuniz\u00e1cie je prenos protil\u00e1tok z matky na plod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Akt\u00edvna imunita organizmu vznik\u00e1 po stimul\u00e1cii imunitn\u00fdch buniek (B-lymfocytov), ktor\u00e9 n\u00e1sledne produkuj\u00fa protil\u00e1tky \u0161pecifick\u00e9 k dan\u00e9mu patog\u00e9nu. Tento typ imunity v n\u00e1s pretrv\u00e1va dlhodobo, \u010dasto dokonca i po cel\u00fd \u017eivot. Akt\u00edvnu imunitu proti konkr\u00e9tnemu ochoreniu je mo\u017en\u00e9 z\u00edska\u0165 prirodzene prekonan\u00edm choroby, ale aj vakcin\u00e1ciou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Princ\u00edp vakcin\u00e1cie spo\u010d\u00edva v tom, \u017ee sa do tela vpichne oslaben\u00fd patog\u00e9n alebo jeho \u010das\u0165, ktor\u00e9 si n\u00e1\u0161 imunitn\u00fd syst\u00e9m zapam\u00e4t\u00e1 vytvoren\u00edm \u0161pecifick\u00fdch protil\u00e1tok. Ke\u010f n\u00e1sledne d\u00f4jde k skuto\u010dnej infekcii, vopred pripraven\u00e9 protil\u00e1tky sa navia\u017eu na pr\u00edslu\u0161n\u00fd patog\u00e9n a imunitn\u00fd syst\u00e9m ho r\u00fdchlo zne\u0161kodn\u00ed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Existuj\u00fa r\u00f4zne typy vakc\u00edn, v z\u00e1vislosti od toho, \u010do konkr\u00e9tne pon\u00fakneme n\u00e1\u0161mu imunitn\u00e9mu syst\u00e9mu na zapam\u00e4tanie:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pri vakc\u00edne proti os\u00fdpkam sa vyu\u017e\u00edva tzv. \u201e\u017eiv\u00fd atenuovan\u00fd v\u00edrus\u201c, teda oslaben\u00fd v\u00edrus, ktor\u00fd je s\u00edce schopn\u00fd infikova\u0165 na\u0161e bunky, av\u0161ak nie je schopn\u00fd vyvola\u0165 ochorenie.<\/li><li>Vo vakc\u00edne proti sez\u00f3nnej chr\u00edpke sa nach\u00e1dza tzv. \u201einaktivovan\u00fd v\u00edrus\u201c, ktor\u00fd nie je schopn\u00fd ani infikova\u0165 na\u0161e bunky.<\/li><li>Vakc\u00edna proti hepatit\u00edde B (\u017elta\u010dke typu B) obsahuje laborat\u00f3rne syntetizovan\u00e9 prote\u00edny (bielkoviny), ktor\u00e9 sa prirodzene vyskytuj\u00fa v&nbsp;obale v\u00edrusu. Proti t\u00fdmto v\u00edrusov\u00fdm prote\u00ednom si telo samo vytvor\u00ed protil\u00e1tky, bez vyvolania ochorenia.<\/li><li>Najnov\u0161ou technikou pri tvorbe vakc\u00edn je vyu\u017eitie priamo nukleovej kyseliny (DNA alebo RNA), ktor\u00e1 sa vpichne do tela, kde sa z&nbsp;nej vytvor\u00ed pr\u00edslu\u0161n\u00e1 bielkovina.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8 dobr\u00fdch d\u00f4vodov, pre\u010do sa da\u0165 zao\u010dkova\u0165<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vakc\u00edny maj\u00fa v\u00fdrazn\u00fd vplyv na zdravie \u010dloveka, preto\u017ee:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ka\u017edoro\u010dne zachra\u0148uj\u00fa mili\u00f3ny \u017eivotov.<\/li><li>Zabezpe\u010duj\u00fa dlhotrvaj\u00facu imuniz\u00e1ciu vo\u010di konkr\u00e9tnemu ochoreniu.<\/li><li>Indukuj\u00fa siln\u00fa imunitn\u00fa odpove\u010f proti infiltruj\u00facim patog\u00e9nom.<\/li><li>S\u00fa najbezpe\u010dnej\u0161ou a najefekt\u00edvnej\u0161ou formou ochrany vo\u010di vysoko infek\u010dn\u00fdm ochoreniam, ako je napr\u00edklad  COVID-19. Je to jednozna\u010dne naj\u00fa\u010dinnej\u0161ia prevencia.<\/li><li>Redukuj\u00fa incidenciu (v\u00fdskyt) a mortalitu (\u00famrtnos\u0165) ochorenia.<\/li><li>V niektor\u00fdch pr\u00edpadoch zni\u017euj\u00fa z\u00e1va\u017enos\u0165 ochorenia u \u013eud\u00ed, ktor\u00ed aj napriek o\u010dkovaniu ochorej\u00fa.<\/li><li>Zao\u010dkovan\u00edm seba chr\u00e1nim aj ostatn\u00fdch.<\/li><li>Vakcin\u00e1cia m\u00f4\u017ee by\u0165 sprev\u00e1dzan\u00e1 miernymi ved\u013eaj\u0161\u00edmi \u00fa\u010dinkami (napr. pocit \u00fanavy alebo zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00e1 teplota), ktor\u00e9 s\u00fa v\u0161ak iba do\u010dasn\u00e9 a neporovnate\u013ene slab\u0161ie ako priebeh samotn\u00e9ho ochorenia.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anti-vax hnutia a&nbsp;dezinform\u00e1cie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>V s\u00fa\u010dasnosti prib\u00fada \u013eud\u00ed, ktor\u00ed aj napriek dostupnosti bezpe\u010dn\u00fdch, \u00fa\u010dinn\u00fdch a overen\u00fdch o\u010dkovac\u00edch l\u00e1tok, nie s\u00fa ochotn\u00ed da\u0165 zao\u010dkova\u0165 seba, \u010di svoje deti.&nbsp;<strong>Svetov\u00e1 zdravotn\u00edcka organiz\u00e1cia (WHO) dokonca v roku 2019 ozna\u010dila probl\u00e9m odmietania o\u010dkovania, ako jednu z desiatich najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00edch glob\u00e1lnych zdravotn\u00fdch hrozieb.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hnutia a organiz\u00e1cie protestuj\u00face proti o\u010dkovaniu (tzv. ,,anti-vax\u201c) dennodenne prin\u00e1\u0161aj\u00fa odstra\u0161uj\u00face spr\u00e1vy, ktor\u00e9 maj\u00fa \u013eud\u00ed odradi\u0165 od vakcin\u00e1cie. Anti-vaxeri tvrdia, \u017ee vakc\u00edny menia na\u0161u DNA a umo\u017e\u0148uj\u00fa v\u00fdrobu geneticky modifikovan\u00fdch jedincov, \u017ee prostredn\u00edctvom vakc\u00edn je do n\u00e1s vkladan\u00fd \u010dip na ovl\u00e1danie \u013eud\u00ed, \u010di prehlasuj\u00fa, \u017ee v\u00fdroba vakc\u00edn sa neriadi ofici\u00e1lnymi vedeck\u00fdmi protokolmi. \u017diadny z&nbsp;t\u00fdchto v\u00fdrokov v\u0161ak nie je pravdiv\u00fd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dlhodobo diskutovanou t\u00e9mou bola ot\u00e1zka spojitosti medzi o\u010dkovan\u00edm a autizmom, ktor\u00e1 v\u0161ak bola nieko\u013ekokr\u00e1t jednozna\u010dne vyvr\u00e1ten\u00e1 mnoh\u00fdmi vedeck\u00fdmi \u0161t\u00fadiami. Asi najzn\u00e1mej\u0161ou osobou, sp\u00e4tou s touto t\u00e9mou, je Andrew Jeremy Wakefield, b\u00fdval\u00fd britsk\u00fd lek\u00e1r a akademik, ktor\u00fd vo sfal\u0161ovanej \u0161t\u00fadii nepravdivo preuk\u00e1zal spojitos\u0165 medzi MMR vakc\u00ednou (os\u00fdpky, mumps, rubeola) a autizmom. Nane\u0161\u0165astie, publicita spom\u00ednanej nepravdivej \u0161t\u00fadie bola vodou na mlyn anti-vaxersk\u00fdm hnutiam a sp\u00f4sobila vo svete prudk\u00fd pokles o\u010dkovania a&nbsp;v\u00fdrazn\u00fd n\u00e1rast po\u010dtu pr\u00edpadov os\u00fdpok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u010eal\u0161\u00ed pr\u00edklad je z ned\u00e1vnej minulosti, kedy v roku 2018 zomreli na ostrove Samoa po o\u010dkovan\u00ed MMR vakc\u00ednou dve deti. Pr\u00ed\u010dinou smrti v\u0161ak nebola o\u010dkovacia l\u00e1tka, ale nespr\u00e1vna pr\u00edprava vakc\u00edny, pri ktorej boli pou\u017eit\u00e9 preexpirovan\u00e9 (po dobe pou\u017eite\u013enosti) lok\u00e1lne anestetik\u00e1 (l\u00e1tky na znecitlivenie vn\u00edmania bolesti). Omylu zdravotn\u00fdch sestier sa bleskovo chytili anti-vaxersk\u00e9 skupiny a okam\u017eite vyvolali konflikt na podnietenie strachu z vakc\u00edn. Vo v\u00fdsledku viedla t\u00e1to popla\u0161n\u00e1 spr\u00e1va k rap\u00eddnemu poklesu o\u010dkovania proti os\u00fdpkam (na 30 %) a raketov\u00e9mu vzostupu ochorenia na celom ostrove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kolekt\u00edvna imunita je potrebn\u00e1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vakc\u00edny predstavuj\u00fa jeden z najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00edch triumfov modernej medic\u00edny.<\/strong>&nbsp;Sk\u00f4r, ako je ka\u017ed\u00e1 nov\u00e1 vakc\u00edna odpor\u00fa\u010dan\u00e1 na pou\u017eitie a uveden\u00e1 na trh, prech\u00e1dza pr\u00edsnymi bezpe\u010dnostn\u00fdmi kontrolami. Hoci v\u00fdskum a pr\u00edprava vakc\u00edn proti COVID-19 aktu\u00e1lne prebieha ve\u013emi r\u00fdchlym tempom, ka\u017ed\u00e1 z vyv\u00edjan\u00fdch vakc\u00edn nevyhnutne prech\u00e1dza v\u0161etk\u00fdmi bezpe\u010dnostn\u00fdmi kontrolami po\u010das troch f\u00e1z klinick\u00fdch sk\u00fa\u0161ok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>V s\u00fa\u010dasnosti s\u00fa k dispoz\u00edcii vakc\u00edny na viac ako 20 \u017eivot ohrozuj\u00facich ochoren\u00ed, ktor\u00e9 pom\u00e1haj\u00fa \u013eu\u010fom v\u0161etk\u00fdch vekov\u00fdch kateg\u00f3ri\u00ed \u017ei\u0165 dlh\u0161\u00ed a zdrav\u0161\u00ed \u017eivot.<\/strong>&nbsp;O\u010dkovanie je k\u013e\u00fa\u010dov\u00fdm faktorom prim\u00e1rnej zdravotnej starostlivosti a&nbsp;jednozna\u010dne jedna z&nbsp;najlep\u0161\u00edch invest\u00edci\u00ed do zdravia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vakc\u00edny s\u00fa taktie\u017e d\u00f4le\u017eit\u00fdm n\u00e1strojom pre budovanie kolekt\u00edvnej imunity, naj\u00fa\u010dinnej\u0161ou formou prevencie proti vysoko-infek\u010dn\u00fdm ochoreniam, ako aj prostriedkom v boji proti \u010doraz \u010dastej\u0161ej mikrobi\u00e1lnej rezistencii (odolnosti mikroorganizmov vo\u010di antibiotik\u00e1m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O\u010dkovanie znamen\u00e1 prevencia. Pochopenie vlastn\u00e9ho tela pomocou anal\u00fdzy DNA je takisto formou prevencie pred mnoh\u00fdmi ochoreniami, ale aj n\u00e1vodom na to, ako pod\u00e1va\u0165 lep\u0161ie \u0161portov\u00e9 v\u00fdkony a&nbsp;c\u00edti\u0165 sa zdrav\u0161ie.
